Matthew's San Diego Birthday Weekend || June 2018

This post breaks my heart. It was only one short year ago that I joined Matthew and his family to road trip down to San Diego to celebrate his and Mia’s birthdays. Unfortunately, blogging takes me a while, and unfortunately, as of a few months ago, he has chosen to pursue some other relationship instead of cherishing everything we had together. So some other girl will celebrate with him for the first time in the last 8 years (this would have been the 7th together, because I had juuuust met him right around his birthday 8 years ago). And I’ll have no idea what they’ll be up to; all I get is to remember both fondly and painfully the last 8 beautiful years together. It kills me that I can’t be there for his birthday (or any other major life event coming up); birthdays mean a lot to me. Sigh. Such is life.

April + May iPhone in Review

Ahhh. April and May, 2018. It was a much happier time. Busy, but happy. Vacations were on the horizon. I had someone who loved me dearly. I can’t say this April and May, 2019, were very good… When I get around to that blog post sometime next year at this rate, I’m sure there will be a much different story. Sigh, #heartbreak.

Although it was over a year ago, and I know she must have grown so much since then, I do remember this beautiful little morning with these two lovelies! I know I was sick with the flu but didn’t let that stop me from snapping some darling photos and enjoying the cool fresh air down at the botanic garden.
